Training
Part of the vision of Hope is to GROW. This means we think it is vitally important that people learn more about God. There are a number of ways you can do this at Hope.
Firstly we have our Alpha Course, which is run by John Brooks. It is an opportunity for you to find out about the basics of the Christian faith. This is for people who are not Christians, but want to find out what the Christian faith is all about, and also those who are new to Christianity.
In the course we cover some of the basic questions like: Who is Jesus? Why did he have to die? This is a series of very informal evenings where you have a free meal then you look at a different question each week, and it is also interactive so you are able to ask any questions you like.
Secondly we have Geared for Growth, which is our morning bible studies for ladies using the teaching material 'Geared for Growth'. Where people can share together in small groups, learning from and encouraging each other.
Also we have Foundations in Christian Living, this is our weekly evening Bible study. We study one book of the bible at a time, and the studies are delivered by our teaching team.
Finally if you are looking to study the Bible in a deeper way you can attend our Bible College. There are a number of options available, from Certificate in Higher Education all the way through to a Masters Degree. You can gain qualification in Youth Work, Performing Arts, Applied Theology or Pastoral Ministry. For more details of the options with the Bible College please click here.
